The best way to know if your electrics are safe is to have a qualified electrician undertake an Electric Installation Condition Report (EICR) for you. This is an extensive test of your home electrics for which you will receive a detailed report on completion.
In doing this we will check the electrics around your home to ensure that it complies with safety regulations. We will also test each circuit to ensure that everything is in order and wired correctly. Plus, we test to ensure that any safety measures trip as they should.
For a domestic home this is advisory every 10 years, although for a rental property this is now a legal requirement and is required every 5 years or on a change of occupancy.
